"What would the charity of God have profited us, if His mercy had not come to our aid?"
Dear Parents/ Caregivers,
Welcome back to Term 2. This term sees us celebrating the feast of The Ascension (40 days after Easter), Pentecost (50 days after Easter), and The Holy Trinity (Sunday after Pentecost).
The three feasts in their different ways celebrate the belief that the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are not just events of the past, but present day realities pointing the way to life, freedom and hope for all humankind.
Through these feasts the beliefs are affirmed that Jesus Christ is Lord of all (the Ascension), that the Spirit of God has been given to all humankind (Pentecost), and that the truth of faith is best found in the experience of community, for the nature of God is best understood in terms of a community of love (Trinity).
